I’m Quill!

I have an incredibly awesome wife, am beyond blessed as a mother, am passionate about the work I do, and creativity runs through my veins! I’m a good cook, pretty artistic in various ways, and I’m also severely allergic to the sun (but I adore being outdoors)!

I have a degree in English literature, with a passion for words and all one can convey through them. As you may have guessed, I immensely enjoy reading, and I also enjoy writing in my personal creative life, with a mix of genres from academic journals to epic poetry, gothic feminist lit to fanfic, and so much in between. 

Music is also my passion and a huge part of my life. When I’m working, I’ve got music on. When my wife and I are relaxing and vibing together, we’ve got some shared favorites in the background. My daughter is an excellent violinist, learning in her school orchestra, and my wife and I also play quite a few instruments between us. Vocals are more my passion, but you will catch our household singing loudly along with songs we’re dancing to or creating our own tunes out of nonsense or, most often, about our 2 beloved cats!

I do a lot of volunteer work for organizations I strongly believe in, and truly enjoy all I do and give of myself for others. Community–true community–is such a huge part of everything I do, and it is the most essential part of why I’ve worked hard to gain the skills and experiences I’ve had. I will continue to learn and grow along my path in life, and I am eager to do so, as I strongly believe that we are never done learning!
